Eligibility and Submission Guidelines

𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞

• Combat Human Trafficking and Promoting SAFE Migration

𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲

• Open to Sri Lankan Editors and Journalists who excel in reporting on combat human trafficking. (In-country or out-of-country)

• Please refer only evidence relevant to this period (30th of July 2023 – 30th June 2024)

𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬

• Application Form - Complete with personal and professional details (Google form in QR Code)

• Statement - A 250 – 500-word explanation (Sinhala/Tamil/English) of the significance of your work towards combatting human trafficking.

• Supporting Material - Evidence like media coverage, broadcast, publications, etc.

• Open to mass media channels (broadcast, print, online) that demonstrate excellence in reporting on and raising awareness about combat human trafficking.

• Please refer only evidence relevant to this period (30th of July 2023 – 30th June 2024)

• Channels must have actively engaged in reporting on combat human trafficking (In-country or out-of-country) issues within the eligibility period (Jun 2023 – Jun 2024).

𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬

• Statement - Submit a 500 – 800 word explanation outlining the significance of the channel’s work in addressing human trafficking. Highlight specific stories, campaigns, or initiatives undertaken.

• Supporting Material - Provide evidence such as media coverage, broadcasts, publications, or related materials that showcase the channel’s impact and efforts in raising awareness about human trafficking.

Social Media Campaign on Human Trafficking and Promoting Safe Migration - Criteria

Eligibility and Submission Guidelines

𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲

• Open to the public.

• Individual/Group submissions are allowed.

𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬

• Languages - Sinhala, Tamil, or English (Use any language that you prefer)

• Format - This can be a photo/video social media campaign.

• The production must be the original work of the author/s.

𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

• Include the contact details of the applicant/s within the Google/QR Code/Email submission.

𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬

• The photos must be original works created by the applicant/s.

• All elements within the photos must comply with copyright laws.

• Photos should be appropriately sized for social media posts (e.g., 1080x1080 pixels for Instagram).

𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬

• The video must be original works created by the applicant/s.

• Orientation - Landscape.

• Maximum duration - 2-8 Minutes. (No exceeding the limit)

• Quality: Video and audio should be satisfactory for social media/other platforms.

𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬

• Use of a smartphone or video camera is encouraged.

• The creative title should be shown at the beginning.

• Focus on creative storytelling, direction, cinematography, sound, and editing on human trafficking and safe migration.

• Specify the primary social media platforms where the campaign will be or has been shared (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter).

• Provide metrics or evidence of the campaign’s reach and engagement, such as the number of views, shares, likes, and comments.
