Foreign Employment
Tragically over the last 5 years, thousands of Sri Lankan women seeking work overseas have been exploited by people traffickers. This is partly due to a lack of safe migration screening services to support and protect women. SAFE works with the foreign governments in their recruitment of female Sri Lankan workers. This includes educating prospective workers on the skills they require for overseas employment. So far, SAFE has assisted over 3,000 Sri Lankan women to gain employment in foreign countries.
