Social Media Campaign on Human Trafficking and Promoting Safe Migration - Criteria

Eligibility and Submission Guidelines


𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲

• Open to the public.

• Individual/Group submissions are allowed.

𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬

• Languages - Sinhala, Tamil, or English (Use any language that you prefer)

• Format - This can be a photo/video social media campaign.

• The production must be the original work of the author/s.

𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

• Include the contact details of the applicant/s within the Google/QR Code/Email submission.

𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬

• The photos must be original works created by the applicant/s.

• All elements within the photos must comply with copyright laws.

• Photos should be appropriately sized for social media posts (e.g., 1080x1080 pixels for Instagram).

𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬

• The video must be original works created by the applicant/s.

• Orientation - Landscape.

• Maximum duration - 2-8 Minutes. (No exceeding the limit)

• Quality: Video and audio should be satisfactory for social media/other platforms.

𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬

• Use of a smartphone or video camera is encouraged.

• The creative title should be shown at the beginning.

• Focus on creative storytelling, direction, cinematography, sound, and editing on human trafficking and safe migration.

𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐬

• Audio can be in Sinhala, Tamil, English, or a mix of these languages.

• Subtitles are encouraged but not compulsory.

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬

• Appropriate Content

• No discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, or religion.

• The film should not promote any commercial product, substance, or harmful habit.

𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬

• The application for registration along with relevant documents can be downloaded from www.safesrilanka.org website.

𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭

• Submit the photos in a digital format (JPEG or PNG) along with a brief description for each image.

• Include a summary of the overall campaign, its objectives, and its intended impact.

𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦

• Specify the primary social media platforms where the campaign will be or has been shared (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter).

𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡

• Provide metrics or evidence of the campaign’s reach and engagement, such as the number of views, shares, likes, and comments.

𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞

• All applications must be received by SAFE Foundation on or before 22.07.2024.

• No late applications will be accepted.

𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬

• Judging Panel - A group of experts in social media and digital marketing with knowledge of human trafficking will review submissions.

• The decision made by the Panel of judges will be final.

Please carefully follow these guidelines to ensure your application is considered. Non-compliant applications may unfortunately be disqualified.
